DOS virus

The old art...

Since near 1986, with the Pakistani Brain boot virus, till 1995, when Win95/Boza virus was released, the virus for DOS had their days of glory.

Without memory protection and security features, and full of undocumented features, DOS was researched till nearly all its secret where know. Works like Ralph Brown Interrupts List where the bible of the DOS vxers, and advanced features where implemented for such virus, in some points not yet surpassed by actual virus technology.

The extinction of this OS with the come of the win32 plataforms, was the great equalizer. In a short space of time, all vxers, be with 10 or 1 year of experience, where put in same level.

Of course, the ones with a good DOS base started the win32 research faster...

There are the virus I coded for the DOS OS. Most of they are very simple, and much times, buggy. They are here without order, advanced and simple mixed, even why I learned boot virus coding in ASM even before I started to code some HLLs file virus.
